Lindsay Carlisle Sheron

Architect and General Contractor Lindsay Carlisle Sheron founded XX BLDG Workshop with the intention of returning the role of the architect to its root as master builder - that multi-disciplinary fusion of wild-eyed creativity and gritty practicality which produced some of the most memorable structures of the last century. Lindsay’s hands-on perspective was shaped by her upbringing on a small farm in Louisiana, where rough plumbing, engine rebuilds, refrigerant recharges, and MIG welds were done in-house.

Now based in Los Angeles, Lindsay currently serves as a Senior Architect for one of AD’s top-50-firms. Her residential practice is informed by years of work designing and managing construction on large commercial projects up and down the west coast. Throughout her career, she developed an aesthetic voice that reflects her values - playfulness, intimacy, love of natural forms, and an emphasis on communal spaces. During the pandemic, she embarked on a project that would serve as a workshop for these ideas - the design and construction of a case study called “Slopehouse,” in Northeast Los Angeles. Completed in 2024, the home is a laboratory for these ideas and an example of what a contemporary single-family home can accomplish with a limited footprint and budget.

Daniel Sheron

Director of Operations Daniel Sheron is an all-arounder - some fields call this a “fixer” - a get-anything-done guy. Currently working as a superintendent and project manager for high-end residential construction in Pacific Palisades, he spent much of the past 15 years as a touring rock musician, both as a band leader and sideman, crossing and recrossing the country, never saying die. He’s a peacemaker, a dealmaker, an organizer of people and procurer of materials, and an optimist for whom any problem with a solution is no a problem at all.
